Week 12: (December 5th 1999)

I started to work on the carburetors this weekend.  When I was in the UK this summer, I picked up a pair of Twin SU HS4's for this spitfire.  I then went by burlen fuel systems in Salisbury to get a rebuild kit and a conversion kit from waxstat jets to the standard jets.  Because this was my first attempt at rebuilding these carbs, I took LOTS of pictures.  On this page are only the main ones that I though would be of interest.  If you wish to see all the photos of the disassembly and the beginning of the rebuild, click here
